Stop Motion Zacuto
A couple of weeks ago Den Lennie (denlennie.com) announced that he had a coupon code for 15% off Zacuto (zacuto.com) gear. Since Zacuto rarely his discounts I wanted to jump at the offer. There’s a lot of equipment that I want from them, but I had to temper my spending. So I settled for the DSLR Baseplate (zacuto.com) and the Target Shooter (zacuto.com).
Once the package came in there were two things I knew: 1) I wanted to shoot an unboxing video. 2) I wanted to make a stop motion. So I combined the two thoughts and this is the resulting video (for better screening, view it fullscreen or on vimeo.com at http://vimeo.com/38243907) :
Shot with a Nikon D80 at F.5.
Total number of images: 268
Edited on a 12fps timeline with Quicktime 7 (apple.com) and Final Cut Pro.
Music: “I Can Explain” by Kraus
I’m looking forward to doing some shooting with the Target Shooter this weekend up in Saint Helena, California. I’ll have a post on that next week!
